It is outrageous to tell someone that if they have enough faith, they can perform miracles (for example, heal the sick or raise the dead) or be the beneficiary of miracles when you know damn well they can't.

A leap of faith is intellectual suicide.

Reserve the term miracle for when the laws of nature are defied (hint: never).
