A
religion might tell you that there is a method that you can use to find
out whether their doctrine is true or false. This is problematic because the
method is part of their doctrine, so if you believe that their method
works then you have already accepted that part of their doctrine as
true. Therefore, in order to question all of the religion's doctrine, you
have to also question their method of finding out whether it is true or
not.
